Mmmmm I don't think it approximates the lies and divisiveness, but I think she's charismatic and is speaking to her base in a really compelling way, much like Lake does. Even though the messages are almost exact opposites, her video had very similar vibes to me. Maybe it's the ex-newsperson vibes.
I’m a retired political media consultant and strategist and agree that Marlene presented herself in a very compelling way. She is obviously comfortable in front of the camera like Lake but, at least to me, doesn’t come across as shrill the way Lake does.
Oh I think Lake is cool and collected. It's really infuriating, honestly, because she can repeat lies right to your face without showing any pause or break in her confidence or getting flustered or yelling. It's quite a skillset.
Not crazy about using the term "shrill" to describe any woman (there's a book and TV show about that term), but the obvious difference between Galan-Woods and Lake is that only one cannot speak without lying, so it's fair to call her a "serial liar" and that should be enough of a distinction.
I'm kind of laughing at the thought of Lake's ballot chasing efforts. For some reason, I think of pollster Lucy (of Peanuts fame) shouting & waving her fist at the kids being polled while saying "You better vote for my brother . . . or else!"
