Well, readers, it was bound to happen someday.
Yesterday was a bit of a mess for us.
Rachel has been out sick all week and Hank’s computer finally crashed mid-day under the pressure. It was, as they say, just one of those days.
So today, we are officially breaking our streak of 401 editions(!) with no (unscheduled) breaks. On the bright side, you can just skip the news today. Nothing bad will happen.1 Take a mental health break — you deserve it!
We’ll be back in your inboxes Monday.
In the meantime, we wanted to leave you with one of our all-time favorite pieces of writing about “one of those days,” which comes from fellow Substack The Chatner.
We’ve reread it about once a month since it first landed in our inboxes nearly two years ago. It’s that good. And today it just feels right.
We cannot actually guarantee nothing bad will happen.
Thanks for understanding, all! It’s hard to just accept defeat sometimes. But that Chatner link is better than anything I could have written anyway and I was pretty excited to have a reason to share it.
Here is hoping to RAc hel and the Computer's return to perfect health. I for one, addicted to the daily news from the AGENDA, and will no doubt go into withdrawals! Get well!
