About that notion Mohave County supervisors have to just do hand counting: using the numbers from Votebeat's Jen Fifield, it would have taken 25,230 hours for a team of 3 people to count the 145,000 ballots in the midterm, or about 3 years. That's if they worked 24/7 with no breaks. Of course, they can always get more people to count ballots. So let's try that: Allowing for sleep, breaks, and inevitable slowdowns with fatigue, it would require on the order of 5000 teams of 3 people to finish in a 24 hour day. No sweat! Only 15,000 people! Oh, but then you have to figure out how to get all those chicken scratches on pieces of paper summed up, something that evidently had Cyber Ninja Logan flummoxed back during the "audit". Maybe 5000 abacuses? And where to put the 15,000 people ... and how to check their work for inevitable errors. Maybe not such a great idea ...
Republicans want to keep the 1st Session of the 56th Legislature open until August or October just to play political games with Governor Hobbs? What a huge waste of time and money. I thought Toma and Petersen were fiscal conservatives. This is the third year in a row that the Legislature has been in session in June. If Republican Leadership is going to continue this inefficiency in government, they should eliminate the 100 day per diem rule. It's time to stop playing games and govern.
Grover Cleveland?
Billy Kovacs works for Hobbs (unless he was also forced to resign like everyone else). that fact adds some more “huh??” To this photo of him in Rome.

My colleague @ShaneGoldmacher has identified it as a 1902 painting of Teddy Roosevelt and the German Kaiser Wilhelm II. It belongs to the Smithsonian.
Sorry, this platform won’t let us attach pics so I can’t attach a screenshot.

Germany's Kaiser Wilhelm II (w/TR)... https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/09/us/politics/trump-indictment-club-bedminster-nj.html
(And, who woulda thought that Germany's leader would be giving that White Power sign, way back when? ;-) )
looks like the right answer has already been posted but I still prefer to believe it's mark finchem
