First, thanks for the link to Rachel's article! But aside from that, I wanted to thank you for pointing out that Covid is still out there killing people, though, happily, at a lower rate than during the pandemic. I'd also like to add that there are many people who suffer from "long Covid." That phenomenon is apparently extremely unpleasant and can be debilitating. I know people who have had it, and it can really interfere with normal function for many months. The new version of the vaccine is an updated version that is apparently much more able to protect you from extreme illness for the newer strains. I understand that the vaccination rate is quite low now. If you don't want to wear a mask, please get vaccinated! You don't want to have brain fog for months or more ...
Yes, but be careful what you wish for ... while what you say is true, if he does resign to campaign, he is likely to be replaced by someone who is less interested in governance.
The government health care authorities have completely blown their credibility on COVID. The list is very long: masks not needed, 2 weeks to bend the curve, mask up, everyone is at risk, everyone needs the shot, if you are vaccinated you cannot spread the virus....Finally the huge admission from the CDC that they over estimated US COVID deaths by 1/3rd. To date, the real total is 1.4 million out of 330 million people and those are heavily skewed to over 65 and already at risk. But Fauci is "science" personified.
Critique for federal government and red tape thereabouts, but, outside of quoting another person, scarcely a word against health insurance companies, lobbyists, etc. and their hand in exasperating these crises.
What is it with Arizona? Why do we allow people to represent districts where they don’t live? Wendy Rogers. Eli Crane. Carpet bagging would be preferable. Okay, you just bought a house and moved in the day before you pulled papers to run- that’s suss- but better than never even pretending to move.

It would be great to get rid of Ben Toma in the lege. In the House, his ability to push bills no one wants would be reduced significantly.

Less interested in governance would be a good thing. Toma gave us vouchers and the flat tax.
Luke Broadwater (NYT) has a good explainer of why it would be difficult for Mike Johnson to mess up the next presidential election: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/26/us/politics/mike-johnson-2024-election-certification.html?unlocked_article_code=1.50w.UX0D.J6iH0LAgZJL7&smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare (gift link).
