"Democrats have their eyes on Kern, and while it’s unlikely he loses his campaign in his Republican stronghold of LD27, it was equally unlikely when he lost his 2020 re-election campaign in the same area to a Democrat. But it happened. "
I do want to note that while they were similar areas, Kern ran in LD20 in 2020, which was a competitive district. This time, he is in a safe R district. So I would say it is a fair amount more unlikely this time around, unfortunately.
Yeah, totally fair. Although that district hadn't elected a Democrat yet -- at one point it was so red it was Carl Seel's district! I was trying to say it was also a surprise that seat flipped (at least to me) but the word "equally" in there is not correct.
I would think that the second place finishers should take YOU GUYS out for lunch. The Arizona Agenda gives them tons of information that they would have to find themselves!
Are there any other Independents besides Dr. Nick Fierro running in Arizona in November? Do you even know about Nick? I plan to vote for him as he runs against David “The Devil Did It” Farnsworth. He has been working very hard for over a year and I think he could win.
Hey I'm sorry I saw your comment the other day about Nick and was going to find a way to work independents into this edition but figured that topic deserved more space. There's an independent running against Andy Biggs in CD5. https://www.clintsmithforcongress.com/ But that's it. It's really hard to win -- or even run -- as an independent because so many rules are stacked against you. Even making it onto the ballot is an accomplishment. Independents need like 5x as many nominating signatures to qualify to run.

Thanks, Hank. A lot of us have been getting to know Nick and are wanting to let more people know that he will be an option to Farnsworth.
