what is sad is how a small portion of the voting population has the "power" to decide who will be on the general election ballot.

I disagree. The idea of democracy is everyone may participate and I think we a do an excellent job of alerting folks of that option. However, in reality, the people who do vote either are well informed or share with the casual voter their their picks.

Many people who are eligible decide that their base of knowledge is too scant to participate and voluntarily forego.

The danger to our Republic is when apathy towards voting reaches such a high level then you are likely to get very bad government actors and it spirals down.

The Left loves that idea-I do not. They are committed to increasing government scope and power at every level for "the greater good" as they see it. You idea was implemented in CA ( I lived there at the time) and now it is ruined because it is a one-party state.

Shapiro is likely the choice. Dems need PA and the Jewish Left vote. Interestingly, Govs. Whitmer and Cooper declined the VP job. They want to be viable in 2028.

Latest message I received from Maricopa County Elections "just the facts" newsletter: More than 26% of Maricopa County voters participated in the Primary Election. The remaining ballots that were dropped off on Election Day continue to be verified, processed, and counted.

I loved “green shirt guy”, forgot about that. Sad for Arizona about Stephen Richer. As someone who is not a Republican I would have voted for him in the general. Heap is a pile of it. This is why we need the new voting law Eliminate Partisan Primaries which will be on the ballot in November. Where do I send money to the new guy running for recorder?

It looks as if Republicans are booting out or failing to back Legislators with the strength to vote “no” or effectively stall really bad ideas in the Legislature — Ken Bennett, David Cook, Heather Carter, Kate Brophy-McGee, Drew John — and others like Richer who weren’t MAGA.
