It is telling that only one of the Democrats seeking to represent LD 5 has private sector experience - the other three come from NGOs and political roles. IMO it is not healthy when the governing class is dominated by people who have never worked in jobs that actually contribute to the economy.
The public and nonprofit sector are integral to the economy and directly contribute to it numerous ways. I would also argue that folks working in these sectors have a much deeper understanding of the communities they serve and are much better elected officials because of this experience.
You don't think nonprofits contribute to the economy? What an odd take. And for what it's worth, "financial advisor," "self-employed attorney," and "gallery owner" are all private sector jobs.
Why is that? Click is an enigma to me. Others who have lifelong history in this town seem to grasp his politics better than i do. His public donations go to what i think of as good causes, but his campaign donations don’t. Am i off the mark?
I'm an independent voter in LD5 and CD3 who will be voting in the Democratic primary. I want candidates who support evidence-based policy, which is something hardly seen at all anymore in the GOP and but is also less common than it should be from Democrats.
What you need to tell your future granting agencies is that no one delivers the news of our loony tunes state with more human snark than you do. Maintaining a very respectful level of bipartisanship/objectivity, your “ voice” is why i love to open this newspaper over coffee in the morning. It makes getting the details memorable and enjoyable.

I didn't see/read that. I see directors of lending companies, attorneys, gallery owners, etc.
