The R majority (for 30 yrs) legislature doesn't care what you think or what I think. They proved that when they passed the voucher blll which was opposed 2:1 by voting Arizonans. The only remedy is to win the five swing districts gifted to us by the AIRC and gain the majority.
David Gowan is useless as teats on a boar hog. Arizona has many challenges...access to fireworks isn't one of them. 2024 is a golden opportunity to take back the Legislature. Broom out all the Republicans s we can return to sanity.
Is there any footage/reporting of protests at the Lukeville crossing, on either side? I know that if they would have closed the Naco crossing there would be all kinds of caterwauling by people on every side of the political spectrum, on both sides of the border. Myself included–Make me drive to Agua Prieta for taco's? Never!...(except on Tuesdays, or whenever AP's closer).
Was it because there's no real commercial traffic, no foot traffic at all (I've tried), and it's primary user is a Phoenix Republican with a condo in RP–these are why nobody really cared if they shut it down? Or screamed bloody murder to open it back up?
Speaking of tacos, I used to travel a bunch in MX with a guy who when asked what the first thing he was going to do when arriving back to the U.S. after a long trip was, he would enthusiastically reply to the group:
"I'm Making A Run For The Border!!!"
And he would, too. Very first thing. Claimed it "shocked" his system into remembering how fantastic the food was for the last two months.
