I love asides via footnotes - I even wrote a technical book 40 years ago about synthetic speech (text to speech) that had most of the humor in footnotes, an approach I stole from a book I loved, "The Decline and Fall of Practically Everybody" by Will Cuppy. That latter book has short well-documented thumbnail bios of famous historical figures - and it is not only historical, it's hysterical (hysterically funny). Who knew that Attila was called "old flatnose."
Correction: I went back to the Cuppy book, and it was not "Old Flatnose" (although apparently flattening the nose was common for the Huns). It was "Old Flatface", and that was just Cuppy's opinion, he was not reporting what people called him (to his face or otherwise). Still, it can be funny to find the oddities in famous historical figures. In the bio, Cuppy says "He liked to be called the Scourge of God, but to me he's just Old Flatface. He also said that grass never grew where his horse had trod. It did so."
Hank, I'm so disappointed that you haven't mentioned Justin Heap's bill to make it easier for AZ ranchers to shoot and kill border-crossers on their property. I depend on you to ferret out bills like this! I had to find out about this bill from my dau-in-law who lives in Boston. HB2843

I guess this whole comment is an aside ...
I wonder how many people said that to Attila's face.

There is nothing like reading the Az Agenda first thing in the morning— i love a bit of snark with my coffee!
Today's footnotes - and the impressively accurate shark comparison - made me really laugh out loud today.

"6 We’re really sorry about today’s footnotes. We’re trying to stop." Made me laugh out loud, thanks!
