At the current rate of pay, the only people who can run are either individually wealthy or have a government job which allows for the incredible amount of time off. Way over due.

What brand of automobile was Wadsack driving when she was in a hurry? Tesla, baby. Hard to afford one of those on $24K/year.

I do not know her personal financial circumstance but it is online at the AZ Sec State-so you can check. Her other job was in real estate.

Sorry but you work for the government and run a county agency. YouтАЩre saying government workers jobs тАЬallow for the incredible amount of time offтАЭ so they can run for office. Maybe youтАЩre playing a lot of golf but the government workers I know and love work their asses off. If IтАЩm wrong about you, I truly apologize. Just who you are, not about the golf thing.

My job is 24\7 and not relevant here. Teachers and others get leave to serve their time and return to their jobs after the legislative session. My point remains that the legislators are underpaid, especially the rural members, usually have to come out of pocket even with per diem included.

I completely agree that they are under paid and we need good legislators who serve the people and not corporate overlordтАЩs. I just want us all to get along, negotiate policy. Our current system is gotcha politics. Not letting the governor have her agency heads is petty and does not serve the people. And IтАЩm sure it works both ways with some vetos. IтАЩm frustrated by the lack of respect for our federal and state workers by the executive branch of the federal government. By the way, teachers work their buts off when not in school. All summer they are preparing for next year. I have 4 teachers in my family who work in Arizona schools. DonтАЩt be fooled. Thank you for serving your county.

I sense that you are an idealist-I true to be a realist. As to the corporate overlords, the situation is has always been in every country, under every form of government-money finds power and power finds money-that will never change.

I am aware of the teacher's load. I am a board member of a charter school.

Sir, you do not know me. Pigeon holing me is rude and uncalled for. Your тАЬrealismтАЭ is a pock on our government. There will be a no vote until members of the congressional majority party stop acting like childish bullies. If you think voters think donтАЩt agree; put it to the people. By the way, Citizens United was the worst decision the Roberts court has made.

I have a right to rude. You have the right to ignore me. Please do.

I sense that you exaggerate. Spare us the homilies regarding money and power. Hoffman, Finchem, and Peterson get the same puny $24K/year from the State of AZ. They are overpaid.
