Thank you for this explanation. It is much easier to scroll through, and scroll back when helpful, than it is to watch something as inherently sequential as a video presentation. The only thing I would like to see additionally (for the presentation of basic facts) is an emoji-based explanation of an estimate of what part of source revenue is continuing, and what part is this year only. Schools have significant infrastructural needs that could be helped by one-time funds, particularly in areas with insufficient property taxes (e.g., roofs that need replacement), while the low teachers' salaries will be a continuing need.
We have to do something about the state of education in Arizona. I realize this legislature won’t do it but windfall money should go into school infrastructure repairs. Ceilings are falling in. Even just replacing old windows with high-R glass would save money. And we desperately need to increase our housing stock, particularly affordable housing.
This should be in high school and definitely college classes. Heck, I'm sending it to a few friends too. A clear, graphic representation of budget categories and values!
There are no words (or emojis) to express how much I love this.
